tail lenses for 98 c230

My 98 C230 comes with smoked tail lenses which I don't like.
Does anyone know if the 96-97 tail lenses (not smoked) will fit my 98 C230.

Thanks BBW, that's what I thought.
But the reason I asked was because I went to Performance Products here in L.A.(performanceproducts4benz.com) and the guy behind the counter told me these 96-97 lenses wouldn't fit my 98 C230.
I want to know for sure before I make my investment.
