Under the front springs is a small metal shim, since iv had my suspension in bits,i found these showed signs of deterioration....
i guess they are there to combat suspension wear/noises etc..
-does everyone here have these?
-do they need to be there?

i rang my local MB supplier and he has never heard of them!?!?!

thanks,
Paul

could you post a picture? On my car, the only thing under the front spring is the lower control arm

someone has our work digi...so no pics yet but,its basicly a thin piece of zinc plated metal, its very soft,it seats the spring into the control arm....
well,i guess if nobody has them i'll leave them out and gain 1.5mm more drop lol...

well, before you go tossing out anything, do your springs happen to be of a non-standard shape? Or is the shim really a dead spacer?
