I have a '99 c280 with OEM wheel which is 15". I was looking at 17" with 225/45-17 tires. Anybody has this set up and how well does it ride? I understand it would be harsher but how much? At all, it is a mercedes and I don't want the ride to be too rough.

I have 17x7.5 in rims and you can hardly notice the difference.. mine is a sport model so it has a stiffer suspension from the factory.. its not that bad..

I have 215/45/17 on the front and 245/40/17 on the rear... I could have gone a lil wider on the front, but I already had those tires

I've been pleased. It no longer floats and glides across the lane, but tracks better, corners better, and rides firm, but not harsh. The wheels and tires, somehow, actually make the base suspension feel better-tuned.
