srs light wont go off.

my srs light is on. i believe its from my dad taking the passenger seat completely off to make a custom seat cover for it..but i'm not too sure. it was in an accident before and was rebuilt and all the jazz..the airbags are fine..they were either never deployed or have been replaced. how do i turn this off??

if your dad removed the seat, than he probably didnt plug the seat belt buckle connector back in and thats why the light is on.

is that the plug that goes underneath the seat?? because thats plugged in..though i havent checked how well. i never understood why there was a plug for a manual adjusting seat.

yes thats the plug, also the switch inside the belt buckle could be defective, setting off the SRS warning lamp.
