exterior lamp failure indicator

My lamp indicator on the dash came on last night. I checked the headlights, high beams, tail lights, brake, and turn signals but all are functioning ok. What gives? Is it a malfunction on the indicator or could it be from something else. It was raining last night but I don't think that had anything to do with it.

Hmmm....

Foglamps maybe?

You might have two sets of foglamps depending on model. Like on mine, there's the foglamps in the headlight housings, as well as the foglamps on the lower bumper.

Other than that, how about the third brake-lamp?

Both third brake light and fog lights are ok. My license plate light is out but it has been out for some time without activating that indicator. Could it be that?

some non MBZ bulbs will due that... i bought a cheap clear turn light for rear and my lights out was on... i just went back to amber.
