Well since my car is in the body shop I took the oppertunity to buy new wheels. I bought some new wheels with 35mm offset 18 - 8 1/2 all around and I got a killer deal for some Falken Azenis. I bought the Azenis for 50 bucks.....245/40 all around. (the tires are used by the way with 70 percent tread left) Will 245 fit a lowered 202? I just have H&R sport springs with #1 Pads. My wheels werent tucked before. Will it fit OK with the Tires??? thanks in advance.

you might have to do some fender rolling and or bumper shaving. 245's up front is pretty wide. I believe people generally go 225's for 18's and 235's for 19's.

235 for a rounded-shoulder tire like Falken GR-B or ST-115, and 225 for a square shoulder like S-02/S-03 or A032R.

I'm using 235 on an 18x8.5 +35, and it barely clears with H&R's and camber.

As Kenz said, you'll probably end up having to roll the fender at that size. It should clear inside no problem, it will just probably rub when the suspension compresses during a turn. Or just run 2 degrees negative camber, but then you'll wear the tire out in a big hurry anyway.

I had 245/40/17 in the front of my C43 for a while on a 8.5" wide wheel and as long as you don't tuck the tire under the fender you won't rub too much.

I have 9.5"x17" wheels in front now with 255/40/17 tires but my fenders have been widened too allow this.

With a ET35 and 8.5" wide wheel I could fit a 255/40/17 tire but it took some hard work with a wooden stick and then I spaced out the fender mounts with some washers.

Contrary to popular belief, the diameter does make a difference because it will change the overall shape of the assembly. A larger diameter will be more square over all, and less likely to conform to the angle of the wheel well as it goes upward. This is why tire width affects fitment, and why stretching a smaller tire will allow you to clear a larger wheel width or lower offset.

I agree with VIP's statements. When I put the 9.5" side wheels in front, although they sit out just a little more than the 8.5" wheels the tire rubs less because it has a better shape and conforms to the wheel well better.

Due to the above I am looking at either a 10" or 10.5" rear wheel to work with the 275/40/17 I run in the back not only to support the tire better but to change the shape of the sidewall.
