Are there any 18" Rims that will compete with the weight of my stock 15" AMG's? I've never seen a store that lists wheel weights.
Anyone know any light-ass 18" wheels out there?

Some of the lightest 18's I've seen are from SSR.

Lots of Japanese companies make lightweight one-piece forged wheels, like Volk TE37, Gram Lights, or if on a budget, 5Zigen FN01RC. They will both require a redrill or hub conversion, since they are only available in Japanese bolt patterns (5x114.3 is the closest).

They will really do the job, and are lighter than anything by SSR or BBS (less than 15 lbs per wheel).

I can get a good deal on SSR and Rays but I'd rather not ship, so if you're in Socal I can help you out.

SSR, volk, etc make a 17" and 18" and maybe 19" rim that is 8.5" wide and has an ET35 with a bolt pattern of 5x112mm. They are built for the Audi S4.

That's true, however the TE37 and Gram Light one-piece lightweight forged models have no such accomodation.

OZ Racing makes a wheel that is especially for low weight. It is called the Superleggera, it comes in 15-19" and looks totally wicked. Here is thelink (http://www.ozracing.com/oz2005/index.php?lang=eng&prgname=prodotto&wcard=1001)
Happy shopping.

I was looking at volk/rays and SSRs on eBay.. the volks actually seem to be cheaper!
Unfortunately, I'm in Nebraska, so pickup in socal wont work.

I'll prolly just look for 17/18" AMG monos or something.. They might be a little heavy, but they have to be lighter than those crappy replicas, or TSWs I was looking at.

Does the benefit of less sidewall really make a big enough difference? Is it worth sacrificing the extra weight? I don't really care about looks, I'm aiming for performance. I want good handling, but I want to save as much power as I can.

Volk does make a 5x112mm TE37 but it is not list on many sites. But I have seen enough of them on VW and Audi to know that they do make that size or used to.

I have a spare used set of SSR Comp, 17"x8.5", ET35, 15lbs. How Much, I don't know $300 each? Make me an offer.
