do these custom LED taillights ($289/set) look okay or not?'

I was gonna order a set.. then I noticed the think black rubber/plastic that surround the tailight housing... probably look okay on a black car. Looks kind of silly on the silver W202 pictured below...

does anyone have these already? if so, are the LEDs bright enough?

jstrat has them on his black car...honestly i only like it on black cars...other than that, they are ugly... in my opinion

I would buy them in a jiffy if I had a black car, mabye with a silver one, but white is not feeling it at all.

I just had it last week and I am in the middle of tinting the red plastic part. I hope I will be done by this weekend and post some pics.

I saw a w211 E class silver with tinted red part in mbworld. I think it looks really good.

the reason i like them is the fact that they put the 2 stripes of clear through the middle like all the newer benzs have... and thus update the look of the car... actually id you compare the inside honeycomb design it is also very similar to the new sl500 tails...
