I finally got some 17" amgs for my car I was originally going to use 18" from the new SLK55 nice turbine style and the deal fell through on ebay I was lucky and found some one who had a set of monoblock II locally. they are 7.5 Inch all around with an offset of 35, my stockers are 7.0 with an offset of 37 i am worried about clearence of the tire by the upper balljoint nut there is barely 1/4 there, i will be takeing the car in for an alignment tommorow, your thoughts ???

p.s tires are 235 all around

i highly doubt that it will hit the ball joint cuz the tires moves along as the ball joint does to, like in same incriments, like they are connected togather. so it wown't touch.

i think 235 is a lil wide in teh front, even in the pic, i see the tire seems wider than the rim, reason y i asked, 215 or 225 would be best, i'm running 215's

I drove around tonight its seems ok, i had to remove the plastic shrouds in the front because the tire was hitting do the C36 and C43 have special ones ?

hey, don't know but dont' think so, how are your shocks? i am lowered and blown shocks and with 225 45 17, i didn't rub the liner. altho i think the fender, so i swtiched to 215's

The stock size for the C36 and C43 are 225/45 and at least on the C36 the fenders are rolled. I'm not surprised a 235 rubs a little.

That is not a ball joint.

That is the connection between the upper control arm and the steering knuckle.

And as long as there is room you should be fine. The distance btween that thewheel hub is always fixed and always stay like that.

Clarification the tire does not rub on the fenders at all the only spot it hit was the plastic shoud on the front where the vent for the breaks is located, what if the tire flexes during hard cornering ? will it still be ok ? will it clear the nuckel?
