I have a 95 c36, it is in the process of having the harness from the computor to the coils, temp and various other parts of the motors electrical system replaces. Has anyone had this problem, has it ever been a factory problem? It is not something I think should be an issue at 140,000.

yea it happens to early w202s, 94-95-96. it comes from them putting "biodegradable eco frendly plastic/rubber" to insulate the wires, it was an enviromental "goodie good" but fukn usless to us. myne has had the engine wiring harness replaced as well for near 1400$, it can happen after ppl get their head gasget replaced as it upsets all the wiring. were u geting the check engine light? etc
dont worry man it happens
