CA is the only state with smog... rest of state have simple emissions test functional only, no visable... idk about SC though, taht is where the car was sold...

i think my state (washington) is about to match california state emissions or get close to it. it will be one of the hardest in the country if the meause passes.

Actually, you can put any motor in any vehicle. A couple things you must do

1. All the smog equipment from the car the motor came from must be on the vehicle that is getting the transplant

2. Vehicle must be then taken to a ref and be smog verified, and then recieves a bar code sticker.

Some things that blow me away on this abomination.

Carbed? Why the hell? Put EFI on it

No headers?? Plenty of room

And how about that Mad Max air filter gotta love it.

Yes, it is sad. But the car has a salvage title. It was probably in a serious front end collision that wrecked the previous motor. Better to put in another "lesser" motor and let someone enjoy it than letting it rust away in a junk yard.

I know of two C43 motors they could use... maybe one up front and one in the trunk.
:p
then they can enter it in a truck pulling contest too...

Lower the car,put the right rims on it and take out those stupid switches and I think it would be a nice car.I would'nt buy it though but it would be a nice sleeper.

For service do I take to the Chevy dealership or Mercedes? Plus, nice boat guages.
