Rear lights question

Hey guys, I got these lights a while ago:

I'm just wondering, if I spray the inner lenses silver on the outside, will I get the same red when the brake lights are on? I want to have the entire back whited out, but I don't want it to affect the redness of the brakes.

if the lens was just fully clear it would be ok but the way u can seen the red bulbs just looks dumb, try get some led bulbs they look clear, my mates got a ummm errrr ah (honda) sorry, but he got full white tails whith led bulbs and u cant see any red its just full white looks sick on a full white car.

No, the bulbs are all white, except the indicators, but it's the plastic setting that the bulbs fit into that contain the red filters to turn the colour of the light to red... If ya get what I mean.

Basically, if something is red, is illuminated by white light so it glows red, and I spray it silver on the outside, obviously it'll look silver (and therefore clear) but will it wtick illuminate red?

dunno if you get clear led bulbs that shine red you should be fine.
