I have a 95 C280. For the past couple of months the idle have been really bad. Like it was misfireing. Spark plugs 3 and 4 were dripping oil and fule when I pulled them out so I though that was the problem. I changed the valev cover gausket, spark plugs, and coil pack. After doing all this it still did not run any better. Then I changed the spark plug wires. After changing them I started it and it ran worst. The fireing order was all ok. The next day I went to start it and all it does now is trun over. I checked to see if I have spark and I do not. I hurd it could be a voltage relay, or wireing harness to name a few. I really have no idea of what to do. No one where I live will even look at it. Please help!!!

remove the crank position sensor and measure resistance through it. any continuity? also, where did you check for the spark?

I checked for spark by putting a spark plug in the spark plug wire I pulled. Im going to check the crank sensor this weekend. I don't think it is a fule problem because I can smell fuel when I try to start it.

did you ground the plug when you checked for the spark? also, the crank sensor is located on the bell housing of your transmission, just below the oil filter housing. dont confuse it with the cam position sensor, which is located at the front of the cylinder head.
