yet another thing that broke on my car

coming into work at 5.30 am this morning I get out of my car and hear a grinding noise, the antenna is not retracting. I tryed once before to take it out to clean it but couldn't get it out i had trouble removing the part that is plastic on the body and the spring part below the body, could some one advise how to get that part off so that the antenna can be removed looks like its time for that slk antenna mod I was thinking of

all you do is remove the nuts holding the antenna assembly, unplug all the connections from it, including the antenna cable, and pull the unit down. the spring is the part of the antenna, so you dont have to remove,and the plactic seal remains on the body.

i have a problem... the nut broke.. like it's still screwed in tight but the top of the nut broke off. how do i remove it now?

oh i assumed the broken screw was on that was accessible
