hey,
i havent lead a topic with the help i need and always try to steel ppls own topics with my own questions so here goes,
i want to turbo my m104 I6 280.
and as said i want to run a single turbo on it.
and have gained the info that
i need to possibly run a vortech fmu, maby slightly larger standard injectors, and an extra injector.
i wish to run an intercooler also.
and wish help from anyone who has done something similar.
as to what boost it would run on one of these, and what sorta power etc. the mollesman says it is about a 290hp, and is at near .5bar (7psi) i was thinking with more help from an additional injector as to not run lean it may handle 8-10psi with a free flow exaust etc. this would produce around the 300hp mark and the motor should handle this? i think (rods and pistons only questionalble part)
my car has a new headgasget so that shouldnt cause me any immediate grief
i will probebly leave transmission alone but maby get a new clutch.
i dont wish to go stand alone as this is a massive expense in itself and would prolly end up half the value of my car :-(
i am researching at present to do later this year but need to know what to save for to purchase etc, and for sourcing parts as New Zealand is far away to get parts easy. once started i hope to have this done as fast as possible to reduce time my car is off the road,
