I am having a issue with my C240 benz and I am not sure why. When I step on the brakes or turn my lights on the car says they are blown out, but I know that they are not. Is it a connection issue or is there a defect that can be fixed.
Thanks,
DT

could be a bulb with a loose filament, but make sure that all light are operational.

could be a lower watt blub than standard, like when i had LED blubs that use so little power and the light came up.

I have checked the bulbs and they are fine. This is a 2001 and the bulbs were purchased from a auto store and they are european bulbs, but not authentic MB. Could that be a issue? The connections are clean so I am not sure what the issue is. Could the wires in the harnes be loose?

Like jnenad16 said, it could be a loose filament. Does the bulb out warning light come on and off? Mine did, took me awhile to find the source. By the time I'd stop driving to look the light would go off and all bulbs would work fine. Eventually traced it to a front signal light.

make sure you check every bulbs. you might miss some of the smaller light, including city lights, etc.
