My keys stopped working. I changed the battery and it still isn't working. Has anyone had this problem before? I have to lock my car manually from the inside and then lock the drivers door with the valet key. Do the keys have to be ordered from the dealer or can they be ordered from an outside source. The dealer next to me wants $170 for one key.

The dealer is the only place that you will be able to buy keys form.. yo need to show ownership and drivers license so they can order you a key.. and that is how much they cost!.. kinda pricey.
Im guessing only the locking and unlocking functions have stopped working?.. and both keys too?

when you press unlock and lock buttons does the little red led on the key illuminate?

You would need to reprogram your key.

my key stoped working last week so i went and bought a new one. also i need a new key because i only had one. they are very expensive! im talking about over $200!

when i got my 1999 c280 i only had one key, so me being the amatuer i am i went to the stealership to order a new key, well dumb me finds out that it costs 250$, well guess who walked out right then and there and was happy that he still had one key:

damn... if i remember right i got mines for about alittle over 150..
