Anybody had done this?
I know there is two ways to do this.
The hard way - lots of towels and degreaser
The easy way - power spray at car wash station

I think i want to do 1/2 1/2 of each way cause I read or heard somewhere that I have to cover all the exposed electronic part if I want to power wash it.

Now my question is, where are all the exposed electronic parts on a C43 1999. I know 1, the ABS unit on the driver side behind the headlight. where else?

Talking about degreaser, that should be a problem for any mechanical moving parts for sure such as the pulleys upfront. Would relubing with WD40 adequate?

washing your engine bay is not a good idea I used a hose and had to take my car into the dealer because it was running rough

dont use wd40 on anything

Try using tire shine on the black plastic stuff rather than products meant for your interior. It lasts alot longer.

Simple Green is good to use for removing grease/dirt.

I use Simple Green and dry it off and spray No Touch for the tire.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I discovered the tire shine too for sometime until I realised overtime when the cover gets covered with dust again, it gets a lot harder to clean. I bought a special exterior trim cleaner/polisher from meguiars. Doesn't last as long but easier to clean.

Simple Green huh? I am gonna try that sometime and a lot of sam's club terry towel. :D
