Headlight Yellowing...

Hey guys, heres another peeve I have..
My car's headlights have got this yellowing look behind the glass around the trim of the headlight mount. It's normally supposed to be silver/white I suppose but mine has gotten nasty over the years. Has anyone ever dealt with this issue?

I removed the headlights, took off the lenses and cleaned them with stoner glass cleaner and then polished them with dura gloss. looked brand spankin' new.

hmm, I'll give that a whirl this weekend, but it doesnt seem to be the glass, its the little plastic frame the glass fits on to. Hopefully it won't need to be replaced..

I painted the plastic frame with spray paint...I used black in order to make the headlights look like the new mercedes headlights, basically the clear look...;)

yah its the plastic film i did what nenad did but than i painted it black and stuck it back in there...good luck!

i forget...but can pre 97 models' lens be taken off?

So I won't be able to get em off? I have a 97 with the original bumpers if that qualifies as 'pre-faceilft'

all of the lens come off.95 and up they come off. i went to bekkers.com and i bought lenes and replaced them my self. huge differeces with my hid! i paid 100something for each lense.

Whats this? I can take off my 96 glass lense and replace it with the new plastic ones?

I don't know where everyone gets the idea that the pre-96 don't come off. I have a 1994 C280 and I easily took my headlight lenses off to clean. There are grey clips that hold it on. I took pictures last time I did it, so I suppose I'll do a write-up about it sometime.

thank you. and yeap your lense come right off. mercedes dosent make them, and they say that you cant change them and if you want to change the lense you need to buy the hole unit! yea all right im on it!!! go to bekkers.com and they have them.;)

Went to bekkers already and was not successfull on locating the lense. maybe there out of it.
your lense is plastic now right for 97- up?

boy if knew this long time ago i would have done it before i bought my Hid.
It's all good atleast i got a new project to work on :D
