shift surround

I ordered a chrome shift surround from autoblz and i tried to install it but it will not seem to stick on easily. If tried pushing on it really hard but it will not stay.Im guessing the double stick adhesive is not as thick as it needs to be since the surround is thicker then the adhesive which causes a small gap . Has anyone had this problem?I think im just going to have to place another layer of the adhesive to have the thinkness it needs to fit properly.

I'm sorry to say, but you got the wrong surround. The real one's or the "better" one's come like the oem one, where they stick in. I would stay away from the adhesive surrounds. You can find these on ebay and other mbz product sellers.

i have the one with double stick tape. its an AMG one

works great, had it for a year now
