Just dyno'd my car.

My neighbor down the street just got a Dyno installed in his GARAGE!! So he said I could get a few horsepower pulls just for the hell of it. I put down 157.3 rwhp and 159 lb-ft of torque. with BAD spark plug wires. I definitely need to replace those things. Other than that, I'm just running a K&N filter. I'm going to try to pull again once I replace them just to see if the hp went up. I've got video and some pictures taht I can post up later if you guys want to see.

Hehe.. yeah, today was his "learn to use it/test day." He's giong to have a Dyno Day in mid August sometime. Maybe we can set up a meet and BBQ or something. Anyway, what place do you have in mind for plug wires? I was thinking something along the lines of Magnecor wires or something like that.

I'd be interested in seeing the video. There's something appealing about seeing a 94 202 like mine on the dyno.

By the way, how do you dyno an automatic? What gear? Do you leave the shifter in 2nd or third?

It's late, so I'll post a video clip up tomorrow. I pulled with the shifter in 3rd gear. The dyno made it really easy to do it with an automatic. You sit there rolling with hardly any load, then hold it at 2500. Then they crank up the load of the rollers and you mash the pedal. Voila.. dynoing an automatic :)

is ur car 230 or 280 what year V6 or L-6 ??? do u have chip in ur car yet?

I assume that's his car.

Edit: which is an I-6. There was never an L-6.

intresting!! anyone have dyno numbers from a c230k? I thought I saw HP numbers around 168hp to the wheels.. I could be wrong..
