engine is bogging down

I was getting codes that the camshaft postion sensor was sending an error codes I checked it out looks to be ok other then the electrical plug was broken and backing out which most likely caused the light to come on.

but when sitting at a light you can almost floor the car and the engine dosent react at all other times it will be fine.

i have replaced the mass air flow about 2 years ago.

how is the throttle actuator? if the cam position sensor was loosing the connection, the car would die.

I dont know I have not looked at it recently is it a known problem ?


what about an o2 sensor

I have replaced quite a few throttle actuators, especially on 97-98 C230's and C280's. bad oxygen sensor might cause loss of power, but it shouldn't impair the idle quality.

idle is fine no fluctuation at all perfect

can you get a readout of the O2 sensors? the signal should oscillate at idle and be steady under acceleration. if they dont check out, replace them.
