I think the new E55 has 5x114.3 bolt pattern instead of 5x112 like ours

I would suggest going with a wheel and tire setup from a Clk 55

which will fitt our C Class cars with less rubbing.

I have the 18x7.5 and 18x8.5 twins spoke wheels from the CLK55 on my car for a little over a year now.

I know the CLK's will fit, but they run 17's, and have a lip instead of the spokes running out to the edge. But i will look into that bolt pattern issue. I'm alomst postive that all Benz run the 5x112 except the G-class

I consider you as one of the senior member. Giving this kinda info is ...... pretty pathetic for a senior member.

So anyway, a quick look at tirerack.com

2005 E55

Size Selected: 18x8
Wheel Offset: +30mm
Weight: 28.7 lbs.

Size Selected: 18x9 Optional Rear
Wheel Offset: +39mm
Weight: 29.5 lbs.

Bolt Pattern: 5-112

Based on this spec it should fit with:
- fender rolling in the front depending on how low your car is
- 5mm to 10mm spacers (depending on how aggressive you want it to look.

So what about the W211 having a 14mm bolt hole in the wheel...
and W202 having a 12mm bolt hole in the hub?
Will the sloped edge of each 12mm lug bolt, take up the slack? or is there a adjustment kit availible?
Any ideas?

I dont think its an issue.. I have seen W203's with W211 wheels on them.. using stock bolts.. so I think the stock W202 12mm bolts will be fine in the W211 wheel hole.
