Radar detector mounting

Just go my C43 last week, time for a couple of upgrades...

First thing is to move the Valentine 1 detector to this car... I would like to have it hard wired to the car and I was wondering what people have done.

I plan to mount the detector slightly under the inside rear view mirror)

Options I see are:

- tap into the dome light area (easy / hard?)
- Run a wire through along the headliner, down the A pillar to... where?

Any advice, pictures welcome.
