i was just wondering if it is possible and safe to run a 215/30 tire on a 8.5 wide wheel?

Hey Nolte, a 215/30 would be pretty tough to seat because a recommended size for a 8.5 would be a 245, especially with a 30 series sidewall. You'd have that lowrider look for sure if you could get them to seat. Those would be like rubber bands!!

ps.... I'll see how much c32 brakes are and let you know.

Yeah, i would be using them in the front, and run 2555 or 265 out back....

I guess i should just ask the tire shop, they would know..

PS. Cool steve just email me a quote for those brakes..

195mm = 7.68inches

edit: I run 255's on a 9 inch wheel, 255mm = 10.0inches

just wonding because i picked up some 17" amgs, i have 15" amg with 205 tires on them they are 7 inches wide and then my new snow rims 6.5 inches wide with 195

but I am going to move my artic alpines which 195 to my 15" amgs which are 7.0 inches wide so i will not have any problems running them?

i have 225 on a 18x8" rim and its pushing it, but still fits, any lower and it would stretch the tire too much. so 8.5" and 215 would be too small i think, even 225 would be streching it

btw, if ur car is lowered, 275's might rub on a 9.5" rim... i had 265's on 8" wide rims in the rear lowered with hnr's and i couldnt even stick my finger into the well, espec. with people in the car. however, it did not rub

i bought new tires and went down to 255 in the back but kept 225 in front
