Ok,
1995 C280, little over 100k for miles. Car has had head gasket replaced and a new mass airflow meter installed. Had been running poorly on the highway and fouling #3 and #4 plugs every once in a while. Changed coil for 3/4 with no change. Changed plug wires and now the car will not start. Cranks but does not attempt to fire. Can smell fuel so thinking not a fuel relay. The OVP relay was changed which did not change anything. There is no spark at the wires using an old plug grounded out.
My next thought is wire harness failure but is there something really obvious that I am missing here? Is there a sensor or wire that would do this?
Any ideas would be great!
Thanks

Did you change your wiring harness?

crank position sensor, maybe? remove the sensor and measure resistance. it should be over 1kohm. but the harness could be the likely cultprit, too.

I will try that one tomorrow when I did into the car some more. It seems like most sensors would have a back up mapping in the ECU that would default when the sensor return an out of range reading to allow the car to "limp" home. That is what I see in other cars at least.. Thats what makes me think it is something basic that I am just missing....
Thanks
