Hey Everyone,

I've got three problems I figured I would see if I can get some help with:

- My left/rear turn signal fails intermittently. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it isn't working the signal inside the car flashes rapidly. Is this a relay problem? Are the relays cheap and easy to change?

- The low-level indicator on my fuel gauge flashed several times last night on the way home even though I had just put in a quarter of a tank. I know the fuel level sensors are known to go in W202's...is this a sign it is going?

- Finally, my automatic trunk opener went (with a bang). The opener itself works, but no longer swings open (or stays up for that matter). I figure a rivet went on the inside but haven't had the opportunity to check yet....figured I would check with the pros first.

Any help would be great...thanks.

Colin

1. your problem is a burnt bulb.. or a loos contact on the bulb holder for the rear.
try replacing the bulb first.. but check the contacts of the bulb holder assembly.
most likely a faulty bulb.

2. the flashing reserve light indicates a purge system leak.. and since you say you just put gas in, Id say its an impropelry tightened gas cap.. but you could also have a faulty charcoal cannister shut off valve.

3. if the opener works for the trunk, but the trunk lid no longer pops open or stays up.. its most likely a broken spring mount on the trunk hinge. there is a repair kit available at the dealer for like $30-40. pretty easy to install.. if you are a do it yourselfer.. or it can be done at the dealer.
