How much do you suffer from accelaration when using 19"?
because I feel a big different from 15" to 18":D
I want to get 19" but I'm affraid my car will run like a turtle.

Larger size would mean more rotational mass, but the weight of the wheels are also a factor.

For example, when i went from my stock AMG 17"s to a German made 18" Brabus replica, i hardly felt a difference as the 18" set wasn't that much heavier. But when i went from that 18" set to a 19" ADR mesh setup which was much heavier, BOY did I feel a difference! My car was downshifting way earlier just to accelerate, and the car felt sluggish overall.

But i'm sure the difference would not be as dramatic had i bought light weight forged 19's. However, i'm sure there will be some difference still. Rotational mass still increases with diameter.

How much of a difference depends on what you are expecting too. Are you looking for difference in acceleration? Handling?

if it is for looks, then no biggie :)

I took my 19's off the other day and took it for a drive with the factory 15's .....the difference was night and day...
i was tempted to leave the 15's on for good!...
steering response was smooth, there was no road noise,acceleration/deceleration was far superior...
although,it rained that day,and there was little traction with my 205 tires.
but after 2 days i wanted the look of the 19's back!....,
and i think the next set of mags i get will be a 18 or 19 forged item,it will be worth the extra cost for fuel economy and acceleration.

I'm planning on taking my car out to the local drag strip this weekend and make a few runs to see the differences with 15", 18" and with and without ICE, spare tire, and possibly the rear seats.

If I do make it out there (plans may change) I'll post my results.

Oh yes.....15" & 18" is like night & day, that's way I don't really want to go 19" unless they are forged but I got no money right now. :(
For the look....definetily 19" is the best.

a c43 engine will solve the sluggish problem beween 15 and 18" rims

i didnt notice much difference from the stock 17's to my 18" right now

also, this brings me back to when i had a 89 crx dx... came stock with 13" rims, i got about 38 mpg when i first bought the car

then i put 17" racing hart c2's on and i got about 30mpg and it was slow as hell

if the car is underpowered, it will do more bad than good

Great point. Before i put the wheels on my i got 24 mpg and now i get atleast 20mpg with 19's although the acceleration difference was not bad at all.
