tnx guys i had to use the search botton on the forum a couple of times becuase i could not get the rear view mirror out but the forum help me really well . i really wanted to use suede but that is not available here in aruba so i found this vinyl type of fabrick it has a nice texture and it doesnt look cheap had some trouble at the begining trying to remove the headliner out of the car the trick is to remove the backseats and put the front seats as low as you can and remove the headliner true the front passenger door something that was also kind a hard to do were the sites i dont know the name but its were the saftybelt goes had to use a headgun to get the vinyl to stretch but it workt out great no wrinkels or any thing like that. the good thing about the vinyl i used is that the glue does not go true it and leave gluestains and it is super easy to clean i also did a litle custom work on the rear deck lid used some fiber and bondo to form it. i had these pioneer 5 way speakers lying around so i use them im planing on putting a 7 inch screen in the middle but for now i used the rear emlem of the mb1200 i removed the third brakelight and i wanted to do some thing that i havent seen yet here in aruba i placed a led stip in the groove under the rear bumper for my third light had to do some wirering so that the chek bulb light doesnt come on and i think it looks good here i have some pics they are a bid blury but ill try to take better ones http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/11/web/803000-803999/803030_18_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/11/web/803000-803999/803030_15.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/11/web/803000-803999/803030_21.jpg

Aruba, I was wondering if you had to do some cutting to the rear deck to get it the way you want it and was it hard to remove the headrest?

those headrest were a pain in the but to take out and i can say that i'm very glad i didn't have to put them back on. ill try to post how i removed it later on . to get the 5 ways in that angle i did had to do some cutting but very little just make shure not to cut the wires that are on the rear deck

I finally have everything painted, now all I have to do is intall the front door. We had to take everything from the old door and reinstall it in the new/old doors. Once I have every thing put together I'm looking at some other mods I can do. I am going to see how reasonable it would be to cut a hole in the rear deck for my subs. I'll have pics up once I'm done.

first of i would like to ad that i removed it this way this may not be the correct way or the only way to remove it but it is how i manage to remove it i also would like to ad that i did not put my headrest back . if you guys have any other way to remove it pls feel free to ad it or to correct me i'm open to any constructive opinion!!

tools
13 mm socket
very long screwdriver

step 1 :ok first remove the back seats there are 3 screws you will need to remove with a socket(13) 1 on each side and one in the center http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/11/web/803000-803999/803030_25_full.jpg

step 2:ones they are removed you will be able to see the 4 holes in the deck wall those are the holes were you will be able to see the pins that you will have to remove http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/11/web/803000-803999/803030_28_full.jpg

step 3:ok now with a screw driver you push the black pin out of its place you will see a little wire behind it that is the wire that is holding the head rest also push it out (remove it completly)http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/11/web/803000-803999/803030_27_full.jpg

step 4:now for the other pin it is located very deep so will need a verry long scew driver to get there and repeat the step 3 http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/11/web/803000-803999/803030_26_full.jpg

step 5:now first push the headrest back then up and its done me be a little hard to push up but it will come outhttp://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/11/web/803000-803999/803030_29_full.jpg

ok for the other side repeat the step 345

let me know if you have any problems

Thanks for the pics. Wow, that's a lot of work, but you did such a good job. I'm thinking of cutting a larger hole, but I'm worried about the wires that are in the rear deck. Oh, and what did you use to cut the hole? I really appreciate the help and good job with the pics.

i just use this kind of sisors that you use to cut metal i dont know how its called in english but you could use a grinder also. about the wires you just need to raise them and cut under need them no big thing but if you are planing on cutting a bigger hole you may want to make a frame just to make shure that the dek remains strong
