ghetto mod if you like

Well was bored today so i decide to clean my headlight lens to from nokia's post

boy what a difference i dont feel the need to buy the updated lense.

on to my ghetto mod i have a blackout corner lens and i dont want the parking light to go on just the signals.
heres with the lights on

Take the bulb out and hold it in front of you just like this with the higher stub on the right.
Cut a small piece of electrical tape and tape it on the numb closest to you.

Now people wont even know its a C class coming down the street at night.

Another way is to pull out the parking light wire and place it on the unused socket (there are 4 total, parking, signal, earth and unused). For that euro effect.

And yet another way is to remove the wire as above and route it to your headlight socket. I forget which one it goes to but then run it to your city light wire. For even more of the euro effect.

Ya. definately your idea is alot better i just might pull the wires instead LOL . I'm bad with wires and i was scared to mess with it.

I was wondering if you could explain how to do those mods in more detail Nokia? Those are the kind of mods you don't see everyday and something I would have never even thought of.

Im sure when crsh2 does a redo on his parking lights he will provide photos and a write up on it. As long as you have a multimeter it is pretty basic as far as it goes.

Search for city lights on the site as it has been discuss before.

if you wire it up as a city light you wont have that indicator come on. :)

I dont get it? why wouldnt you want those lights on? plus i know at least where i live the cops would prolly pull you over for no parking lights...

If you want the lights on thats ok as well. There is nothing really to get. Either you want to do the euro look or something else.

As they say to each their own.

Euro has no parking light...

the corner light is dedicated blinker..


However euro has a "city light" 5 watt "wedge" type bulb above the high-beam bulb. ;)
