Does any C43 owners ever seen or use these?

The first time I had ever seen a direct replacement for rotors. If the picture says what the product looks like, it's slotted and drilled.

BTW I never heard of Disc Italia. Anybody ever heard of them?

For that price, you might be better off buying OEM and then sending them out to be slotted. Unless of course you really want drilled rotors.

You know anybody who are able to machine the slots on the rotor?

F*** brake world!!

i purchased some pads for my wife ML... and they sent me the wrong pads... I had to pay for return shipping and then the second set they sent had no brake sensors, so i had to purchase separate dealer...

the guy who runs the shop, John is really nice but overall their service and follow up with customer satisfaction is terrible!!! i ended up spending the same i would have at dealer and paying dealer to instal too... but all i had was the pads!

two thumbs down!

PS while im on a rant.. the 99 ML430 sux!

rant over.

Let me ask speedybenz, I think he recommended a place not too long ago.

edit: cannot seem to find the Thread, but from what I read Brakeman will do custom work for you. Maybe you can try them.

Read the text on the side of the pic, it says OEM ONLY. That to me means that they are just OE rotors, not drilled or slotted... and their prices are out of control if they are just OE rotors. I work at the BMW dealer, but we are also a Benz dealer and I priced out these rotors a few days ago... $177ea my cost, which is cost+10%, so you can get a pair for much less than brakeworld's $786/pr. Just my 2 cents....

Slotted brakes do nothing more than a regular rotor, its all for show. Stick with oem and get some nice pads, my 2 cents.

Say what!?!?! Slotted rotors clean brake pads and cool faster, if I am not mistaken.

I really doubt this guy know what he is talking about. Listen to his first sentence:
"Bigger rotors will make your friends think you are cool, bigger rotors look sexy, but bigger rotors do not stop the car."
C43 owner and the rest of you with BBK.. Had you all been sticking out your foot to stop your car? (J/king)

Here's another article: http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/tech/techpage.jsp?techid=81
I think they explained things better.

So what do you think?

I found this on the same link you gave me, under brakes 101.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Slotted, drilled or dimpled rotors offered as OEM replacements should not be considered appropriate for high-speed track use.

While grooved, drilled and slotted rotors offer an enhanced appearance and add some resistance to the boundary layer of gasses that can build up between the pad and rotor, they are not designed to withstand the extreme temperatures that are produced on the racetrack. If they are used on the track, it is very important that the rotors be carefully inspected and should not be driven on if even minor signs of deterioration are seen. Note, too, that if these products are used on the track they are not warrantable.
