its fairly easy, but it takes about 3-5hrs, depending on your skills.
drain the coolant completely, remove the fan shroud, fan clutch and blade to give you some extra room, now remove the drive belt, unplug all sensors connected to the water pump(coolant temp sensor, gauge sender and ac kill switch, if any), now disconnect the radiator hoses, the bypass hose, and the heater line going along the front of the engine, now you will need 3/8in ratchet, 6mm hex socket, 6mm hex "L" wrench, a long 3/8in extension, and a 3/8in swiwel, now there are 4 6mm hex bolts holding the water pump, two from the top and 2 from the bottom, the top, the top ones can be removed with a "L" wrench and the socket with an extension, but on the bottom ones you will need ot use the swiwel as well because the bolts are hard to reach. remove the pump, clean up the mounting surface on the block, lube the new o-ring with coolant, and reinstall everything in reverse order.

It would also be a good time to replace an questionable hoses and belts.
