Will the front brakes (rotors, calipers, pads) from my 2004 CLK500 fit on my girlfriend's 1995 C280? I changed my front brakes to the C32 AMG brakes by Evosport, and since my originals are just sitting in storage, I thought I'd upgrade hers. Does this sound reasonable? If so, anyone know a shop in the Los Angeles Area (hopefully in the San Fernando Valley) that will be reasonable to make this swap?

Its the same dillema (the same pro and con) as fitting C32 brake to W202..

W209 and W203 brake has the same mounting position and piston orientation....

So you basically upgraded to the same system with different caliper paint? The CLK500 and C32/C55 calipers are the same exact units, just painted differently and with drilled rotors, but essentially the 2 calipers are exactly identical. A better upgrade would have been the SLK/CLK 55 6 piston calipers, or even the V8 Kompressor 8 piston set up. To answer your question, the W209 brakes will bolt up to your gf's w202, you just need to make sure the wheels will clear the calipers.

Oh, I love me some drilled rotors and the word AMG on my calipers. Love it.

Actually 2003-2004 CLK55 (W209) and C32 anc C55 has the same front brake component (rear might be the same too, but I haven't verfiy it yet).

Starting on 2005 CLK55 have new redesign 6 pot caliper as found on SLK55 (R171).

CLK500 doesn't have the cross drilled rotor and the caliper is not powedercoated (although appears to be the same unit as on those AMG's mentioned above).

Regardz,

Its the same exact $hit, its painted differently and has a drilled rotor big deal, IMHO a big waste of money for looks.

???? (confused )

Are you trying be helpful or hateful.. ???

I am providing more information and I don't expect any response like this...

PS: Whether it is for looks or not, let it be its his money. He alredy done swapping C32 brake to his CLK500.
And his question is whether or not the CLK500 will fit on 94 C280.
In any case C32 brake kit can be had for $650 not matter how you put it even for stock OEM its freaking cheap -- compare to Stoptech, Brembo..

Regardz,

Exactly! I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on front brakes.. c'mon. I live in LA.. I don't go over 80 MPH, I'm not racing around.. I just wanted them to look cool, that's all. I'm also looking for drilled rear rotors for my CLK if anyone knows where I can get a pair. Now, as for the W202, the brakes are going south, and havent been changed in many years, so I thought I'd save another few bucks and put my stock CLK500 brakes on that have about 500 miles on them.
