need a set of rims+tires for winter

i am leaving the country for a couple months start at the end of the month. winter will be coming and i won't be here to deal with it. i live in New England so apparently there will be snow. i need a set of rims and tires for the winter. any recommandations? the car's got 18 with sumitomo low pros' that's only for the dry at the moment. the front end of the car's lowered by the previous owner, so i might not have much clearance for the front lip if the set up is small(got reiger body, so it does reach low). let me know what u guys think.

I have a set of brand new mercedes benz 15" steal snow tires rims hubcaps and lug nuts , the are artic alpine tires with only 2000 Km on them

so there's really nobody around that can give a suggestion of any kind? dr. drew, can u post a pic of your set? from your words it sounds a bit too small for me because of that lowered front end. however, some other people here may want it.

thanks doc. it's probably too small for me. if i use this the front lip will be kissing the ground on every small bumps... hey guys, anyone interested in doc's wheels?

actually the should be the same diameter as your 18" if not your speedo will be out . Your 18" are what 35 side wall height ?

225/45 sumi is the tire i am running at the moment
