Hey people well i have a c230 Komp and wanted to put a motorized flip dvd player in the car, the slot below the factory deck. Is there any way to hook it up to the existing stock system. I have a cd changer in the back and the stock deck not the bose system.

Also how easy is it to upgrade all the speaker in the c230 ? can i just buy the speakers and plug them in or is there special wiring that needs to be done . WHat are the dimensons of the speakers in the rear and front ?

Thanks for all the help

Position in these cars is a tough decision. I would put the DVD player where the stock head unit is and then put the stereo in the coin tray slot below it. If you have the electronic climate control, I can already tell you there isn't enough depth to put a DIN sized unit of any kind in there. Check out my carputer thread to get an idea. I did it in my 95 and in my 99 (the pics are accurate except for the 99 where I now have a Blaupunkt deck instead of the factory head unit as pictured). You're going to lose the CD changer if you add an aftermarket deck, so I would go with a head unit that does DVD and MP3 playback to make up for that. You're going to need a VW/Audi wiring harness for the aftermarket deck hook up. Do a search for the Nakamichi deck install to see the wiring diagram. Also, you will need a VW/Audi antenna adapter, I believe the one I have for my Blaupunkt is the VW 6 antenna adapter. You local car stereo place or Best Buy/Circuit City should have botht the antenna adapter and the wiring harness.

Thats not true, you can move the digital climate control to the bottom din. I've seen it done without much trouble. Here are some links with someones. http://www.club202.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1019
