.
hey,
Hmm,wierd...
it could be a loose wire connection on the magnetic clutch...or the ECU may be shutting the SC off for some reason like A/F leaning out...-somthing i havent heard of but may be possible.
have you checked for any fault codes?

i have the same problem.. not alot of people know what its from.. my CE light is on.. but I had the CE light read at my girls work (nissan dealer) and they say its a misfire or bad sparkplug.. I dont know..
anyways.. I checked all wires and everything.. I dunno what could be triggering it.. its the computer thats definitly turning it off tho..
have u messed with ur MAF or anything under the hood? I have installed a cold air intake and thought that was casuing it but I put my OEM intake filter back on and it still does it...
anything over 4-5k rpm will just about shut the supercharger off.. so I dont really push it anymore..
but sometimes it happens when I accel onto the freeway onramp.. I usually pull over or get off and turn the key off\on and reset the system..
now after 2 months of this happening.. my CE light is still on.. (do I give a fuck? no) I have pretty piss poor performance.. if I 3\4 the throttle and rasie the RPM to almost redline.. I feel it give me POWER.. and accels slower..then gives more the regular power again.. and then stops... I only notice it as driver.. my passengers dont even feel it.
my car has 70k miles on it..
so it could be the MAF, sparkplugs or something along that line..
I thought it would be from using 87 octane but I fill up with 91 tank after tank and it still has the problem.
ontop of that.. my valve train inside the cyl head still sounds like shit!!! haha..

wow that sux guys.. i have a 99cc230k... and i love the s/c...i push it all the time and never fails (*crosses fingers) hope i didnt just jinx myself...
i love that s/x even tho its not my any means powerful it is awesome to hear it spooling throught the rpms
ontop of that.. my valve train inside the cyl head still sounds like shit!!! haha..
haha so does mine, but not always for some reason...i think its the MOT valve, but I cant always tell, somtimes it sounds like its in the valve train...
Hmmm,I havent had this problem either, and i dont drive too slow;)...
Over here we run 91/96 and 98 octane,iv heard they are tring to cut out 91 here due to 96/98 burning alot cleaner...
and i found if i run 91 my engine hesitates, and runs very badly...but as iv seen alot of w202's run octane around this level,so i guess the ECU has been set to compensate, unless yours is an import from a country where they ran higher octane....mine was from singapore.
this, combined with a hot day may cause the ECU to shut off the SC to avoid detonation maybe, just a thought.
or there could be other factors like alphanumeric said, the mas and o2 sensors maybe faulty...
I had mine checked the other day, even though i had no check engine light we were able to pull up all the history on what was not working properly and what i had disconnected while installing parts, there were 5 or more fault codes.

hmm that could be just it.
Yesterday I was down to 3 quarters of a tank (which has 94 octane in it) and filled it to the top with 91.
But I still beleive thats a sufficient amount of octane.
Today the supercharger worked as should but just once it didnt kick in.
