I dont see a sticky about all the wheel combos and finding the info Im looking for seems to be hit and miss.

#1 AMG aero II monoblock 18x8 weighs more than 18x9 according to tire rack???????? whats up with that

#2 what is stock weight of c43 17" rims?

#3 Seems to me I read 10's were the max size for the rear. Is it? at what offset.

#4 I really like the mono block but want a deep dish poilished lip...any advise on how to accomplish this?

#5 since the 18x9 weighs less and is cheaper than the 18x8, can I put 18x9 on the front?

#6 What springs drop the car to just the top edge of the tire? eibach seems to be the case? I dont want a slammed look. Speedybenz has the set up I like but I belive his is custom.

#7 what is the lighest wheel that is similar to the monoblock?

#8 what is the general on the best looking wheel? best performance wheel...and best of both worlds?

I dont plan to race my car but i do want to build it with that in mind.
Thanks

I think H&R or Vogtland will drop so there's no gap between fender and tire if you use a thicker spring pad. I've got Vogtlands with #4 front and double stacked #4 rear to account for my sub box. It sits perfect IMO with little to no gap.

How does it sit/look with 4 people in the car ?

I can't say, I've never seen it from the outside with anyone in the back seat. I'd imagine the rear would be about .5" lower, but that's just a guess.

I've never had any problems with the rear scraping or dragging on anything with the car full of people though.

#1: AMG models have lighter rear wheels to lessen the rotating mass and improve HP/torque. There are areas machined out that are not machined out on the front wheels. I guess they decided not to machine the fronts to save money as the rotating mass principle would also apply to the fronts. Odd but most AMGs have this unique feature. Additionally, the rears are made in germany, the fronts in austria. (acccording to the tire rack)

I tend to post answers to my own questions as I find them for future searchers.:D
