C55 upgrade question

I have found a ML55 truck that is wrecked my question is did mercedes use a different engine and trans in this model over lets say an E55 or would that be a good engine to upgrade my c class
?

having a C43 I could be interested in the 43 to 55 upgrade how easy is this in terms of electronics etc or is it a case of a direct swap??

its a direct swap. Only took my guys 2 days to do everything. They used the same ECU and wiring harness. Everything was plug and play and the best thing that ever happened to my car:D
