hi club, i own a 96 c280 and i have been looking into HID kits. i thought about spending a few hundreds of dollars and purchase just the bulb and transformer but i am concerned on the beam pattern that would come out of the stock halogen housings. i did search on this site but i am still confused on a some parts. i came across this bekker hid kit (http://www.bekkers.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=030108&Category_Code=mhlightcclass) and i was wondering if it would fit perfectly on a 96 model (before the face lift). also...

-would i need to replace the trim under the headlight?
-will the beam pattern look as if it was OEM hid's?
-also is the installation process simple, will it plug into the original harnesses (96 models have H4 low/high beams bulbs and H3 bulbs for fogs)?

any help is greatly appreciated.. perhaps anyone with the kit can post pictures of it after the installation.. thanks a lot

For a car 1997 and up (the one with updated healight).

The bekker HID will be plug and play. (No modification needed at all).

For a car pre 97 (older headlight)

you will need to things:
1. The piece below the headlight (But you could modified this piece to fit the newer healight. You need to dremmel it/sand it down the part on the inside.)
2. The socket adapter to plug between the headlight housing and the car electical harness.

Here is some info on fitting newer headlight to older car. link (http://www.club202.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4295&highlight=Xenon+HID)

Hope this helps.
