can i fit the r230 or r171 antena to my car

i'm boring about my power antena yesterday it hit the tree and broke. Can i use the antena from new model such as r230 r171 that seem to be short. thank

This has been discussed before, but I don't think anyone has actually done it. There are some cheap r171 looking antennas on eBay. I might try this myself eventually.

Too hot outside at the moment to be motivated to work on my car though.:(
