if you are looking for smoked tail lights, they were stock on the w202 starting in approx after 1995 i think, im not totally sure, just go to a junkyard and look for like a 1999 w202 or a 2000 w202.

They started doing smoked tail lights in 1998 NOT 1995

lol i thought our friend here was asking about smoking crystal meth...

oem smoked lights came around in '98, as jnolte said. if you find a set, you might also try to get the updated trunk decklid, since it has the raised lip on the edge that the pre-97's did not have.

Well if you were to distill Khul's tutorial it would involve:

1. Masking the red parts of your lights
2. Applying a single coat of tint spray
3. letting it cure
4. Applying clear
5. let it cure
6. remove tape

Now how complicated is that?

it is just that simple, id also suggest using really fine steel wool in between coats, it makes it look alot smoother

that will be tricky, read the tint can it may tell you what you can use, you may be able to use paint thinner but not sure if it will ruin your plastic light or not

me and my friend screwed up on his m3 tail light, we just sprayed a shit load of clear on it and start wiping it w/something kinda rough that didnt leave lint (we used one of those little rice bags) it came off fine, u have to steel wool it down after to get the excess off, if u want to keep it that way just hit it with a shot of clear and it will be basically oem look, or tint again to your liking
