Audio 10 in-dash cd

I have a chance to purchase a Audio10 Becker in-dash MB unit for my W202.....or get a cd changer for the current unit I have now which has tape.

Which unit is better and should I leave the current 1999 head unit and get the changer?

The bose system in my car is pretty nice. I cant see any "single" part making the system sound "significantly" better than it does. In dash is certainly a lot nice than in trunk. But i use ipod so cds dont really matter any more. Keeping it factory will help in resale and Im sure that head is nicer than the stock head just because it is newer.

If that thing is plug and play I would guess it boild down to cost.
You can get a really really nice Nakamichi deck for under $300 that would be about the best head on the market until you get into the high end alpines and pioneers. If you are going to build a monster system I would think aftermarket would be the way to go just to make it easier to wire in amps etc...

Sorry but I have no idea of the factory head's quality vs aftermarket head.

I would go with the audio 10. If you get the CD changer you always have to go to the trunk to put a CD in it. WIth the Audio 10, you can pretty much change it whenever you want. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. Aftermarket, you can always keep the stock deck and put it back in there when you sell it to maintain resale value of the car.

the audio 10 also supports the cd changer so you can have up to 11 cds on the go

sig425 the website u gave was auusome, ne idea if we can install the Mercedes E430 Navigation Blaupunkt stereo/navigation on our cars, cause DAMN i want it soo bad, if so, does it involve a lot of snip and cut in the cars wiring or no

might sound stupid but Id lose the tape option with the audio 10....its always cool to have as many sources as possible in a sound system esp old school tapes!...i have many!

well, its not stupid, cause although i have a 6 cd changer, i use my ipod 90 percent of the time, and i tried those wireless fm transmitters and the quality was shit, however im willing to sacrifice for that screen

the audio sucks ass for playing burned cds... which is most of what I have anyway which really sucks

dealership check out mbclub.co.uk they have this modtanica and it gave me the idea for those, but I could never get them to stick onto the front door speaks, I have a bose system and the only badges it comes with are on the rear speakers in the back, the front ones are very cool thought, I sort of wish we had a modtanica or something like that here, if I ever get some free time I want to set something like that up on boomin benzs site, which is a great site btw

well if you check out mbclub.co.uk they have a parts listing thread where they have the badge listed, I bought my stuff from cailber motors I think they were a buck or two nothing bad at all

The audio 10 is very selective about the type of cds you use I have no problem with the current cds I am useing but had tones of problems with hp cd's

I use memorex and I also burn at 12x or lower to help it and it still has hard times reading it, I have tried some other burners as well and still no luck, stupid mercedes why won't you let us play burned cds???

i was at this computer blow out sale and bought some cheap shit cd's 50 for 9 dollars they work just like store bought cd's the mercedes player loves them

My W203 Cd changer never had an issue with the cheap cds.

4. If they don't have it in stock they can order from Germany or the United States or somewhere else, I have a part coming from Germany and another coming from Florida

5. I like Jones soda... try the Cream Soda I like that one the best... they are based out of Canada
