IT'S FOR ENGINE VACUUM... LOOK UNDER THE MANIFOLD. THERE SHOULD BE A SMALL NIPPLE/NOZZLE TO MATCH THE DIAMETER OF THE HOSE. IT TENDS TO COME LOOSE WHEN PPL CHANGE THE OIL FILTER.

That line supplies vacuum mainly for the transmission upshift delay circuit. The engine management system is quite capable of compensating for the vacuum leak caused by not having it connected, but you might notice it in your long term fuel trim. The line connects as the previous poster noted to a small metal line on the manifold just in front of the oil filter housing.

Take your intake crosover off and you will be able to shine a light down into the back area of the manifold to more easily see the connection point.

i had the same problem. i found the nipple where it attaches, look around a little bit, youll find it, its kinda hard to reach, but it mainly controls your shifting when the car is cold
