led side skirts and more

well, this is a 2 part question....A) LED side skirts..how much do they cost and how hard are they to wire and to install....B) i saw some front and rear bumpers whom had some sort of fog light on the side...i dont know how to describe them, but im interested in how this is done ???

cost me 10 bux.... take sideskirts off and since u looklike u have a 97 or below C class u cant do it unless u buy a 98+ sideskirt or a amg kit..

yep, I have LED side skirts.. I got my kit off ebay.
cost me $70 I think.. now they cost a lot more and arent the same as the kit I got.. the new ones include LED's to go under the front and rear bumpers too. I dont like that.
The cheapest way to go is to get the ones off that ebay auction tpliquid pointed out, just make your own harness for it.. pretty simple.

well....the pic i have is from a site, i have the same car, black tan interior etc etc, however my cam is acting up on me, i just cant take a nice pic in my garage (the surroundings suck" so i just posted this pic...., slammed_C how hard is it to wire the side skirts and does it involve a lot of snip and tuck ??

It took me a while to figure out what I needed to do to make them work the way I wanted them to.. but after having my brain go numb from looking at wiring diagrams.. I figured out how to wire them up so that when I unlock my car with the remote key they come on (wired into the rear PSE pump for the door locks and sends the voltage signal to the dome lamps)
so I spliced into the wire for ground to the rear dome lamp (switched ground) and put the positive into my front fuse box for the 15 circuit.
now when I unlock my car the LED's come on and stay on with my dome lamps.. when the dome lamps go off.. the LED's go off, and when I lock my car they come ona nd then go off with the dome lamps again.

Wiring them up wont be a problem at all.. very simple to do.. when ya know how to!!

hey slammed, do you know if you can have these ( or some other lights) wired to the lock unlock and also to a switch to turn them on and off when wanted? if so how would it get wired up if you dont mind. One other thing i have a 99 so prolly the same possible pic of where you tapped into that wire? and which fuse you linked up to? still a lil foggy on how that got wired. thanks a ton! =)

I wired mine in a really simple way. I just tapped into the rear dome light and they come on when I unlock the car and fade out with the dome lights. If you want you want to turn them on you just flip the switch for the rear dome light. I just ran the wire up through the door and down the door sills to the back and up to the headliner. It was simpler than I thought it would be. I haven't had any problems with the lights so far. I have the same kit as slammed_C and I also got mine for around $70.

Basically I wired mine up the same way.. but instead of going right at the dome lamp.. I wired mine up to the PSE pump in the trunk on the right hand side.. I spliced into a wire that goes to the dome lamp.
this way when I lock and unlock the doors the LED's come and and go off with the dome lamp.. fade out like the dome lamp.
I can turn the LED's on while im driving if I wanted.. I just press the button on the front dome lamp to turn on the rear dome lamp.
