View Full Version : WTB Illuminated door sills!PLEASE!!

Hi guys, as you might see Iam new here and would like to ask for you're help to find some door sills, but the ones that actually says Mercedes Benz on them! Here is a pic of exactly what iam looking for. Thanks in advance for everyones help.

i got those from www.formymercedes.com to me its more reliable to order it from them than from autobliss a friend of mine here in aruba got riped off with auto bliss. btw i'm not trying to boycut no one here but its just a fact

dont they come in sets of 4 ??, and how much do there bulbs cost ?

yeah they come in sets of four and they use some kind of electric illumination strip.

do they tend to burn out a lot, cause i get my car washed everyday and they tend to spray the door sills with water ?

when I find out how to install from the brabus guy I will buy some and install. I have no idea about them burning out or anything like that, hopefully that's not the case.

I am having an issue with mine right now thats why I had to buy 4 more but i am going to have to replace the wiring harness now because the new sill is doing the same thing as the old one

two have now burnt out on the drivers side driver door i replaced the wireing and put a new sill lets see if it lasts for more then a day or two

yeah thats the problem i had with my 05 civic, ended up taking them out completly, ne idea y the keep burning up , and how we can fix it

install is easy as long as your some what confortable with electronics, my wireing harness was bad i have had no problems with the new wireing harness and sills
only took me 30 min to redo the car its my third or forth time

how did he wire them? Sorry, but between 2am and 4:30am, I was too zonked to take pix and pay overly close attention. He wires to power somewhere, and wires ground to the door push button light switch wire where it runs down under the sills.

you need a 12v source i used the light in the trunk then make some quick connectors so there is no need to cut or solder anything, then all you do is hook the black wire to each of the door switches and your done its very simple

can someone please post a picture of these door switches everyone is talking about? I don't think I have seen it before.

open your door and look for a little push button below the big latch
