Old one is fubared and works part of the time etc......

look on ebay and you will find one! look under mercedes cluster.

The problem is the 2000 model ones have the indicator for the tiptronic in the dash.
I've looked on ebay, but since they were only made for 1 year, they rarely come up.

Will an earlier model cluster work, just not have that there? or do i NEED the 2000 one.

Since someone started a thread on clusters, i have a question.

Is it possible to change the lighting in the cluster?

If yes, how can you change it? bulbs?

I dont like the orange lighting, I'd prefer something like white or blue...

From my understanding, there is a plastic film behind the gauges, which controls the lighting. all of the bulbs are clear.

So you would have to take it all apart, and replace the film with something else, to change the lighting.

I dont know if it can or can not be done.
