according to www.mosselmanturbo.com the twin turbo C280 makes 285hp

tpliquid, you have access to the kit and you won't take it b/c of a little rust you can polish out? You're nuts - that is a VERY VERY VERY expensive kit.

What rusted anyway? The manifold is 35% nickle, and the piping is all powdercoated for and should be protected. Geez kid, go to the junkyard his car is at and take the damn kit! Then pay some metal polishing shop a hundred bucks to give it a high polish and remove any rust. THen all you need to do is buy some T25's, or just ask Rascel for his. Man tpliquid, I would have this done by next week if I were you so I could beat on C36's.

Edit - at least post what junkyard his car is at so maybe other club202 members can go there and salvage that beautiful kit

Single turbos are for four cylinders.

i say buy it repair it, and install it, 285hp is a big deal with a car thats as light as ours, how much is it selling for anyways ??? and how much would it cost to repair it ??

Ashkan's C280

our cars are very heavy... not that light man....

Ashkan's C280
10-21-2005, 11:23 PM
and is there much lag with this twin turbo setup... or do you have power very quickly and down low???

c280nz
10-21-2005, 11:48 PM
um the torque is ment to be pritty ggood with the twin turbos. two smaller turbos spool up quicker and give better bottom end.
And a single larger turbo would spool a bit later but have the potential to make higher hp numbers as it wount run out of air at higher rpm

C280's weigh somewhere around 3300 lbs.

m104 w202's weigh 3360 to be exact.

Off topic: Even in my car's terrible condition, I beat a scion tC last night. Woo!

Ask that of all the rice rocketeers swarming the streets.
After all the money and lime-green coloring you add, it's still a Honda.

At least this guy's car was a Benz ;)

$4000? My single turbo Mosselman turbo kit was retail at $5k (though I paid less). I imagine a twin turbo kit is $6k or more.

Anyway, I thought you had access to his old car, so I would imagine you could get whats left for very cheap if not free

My single turbo kit for the C220 came w/ an intercooler. Not sure about the twin turbo.

I guess the system runs the turbos in a good efficiency area, and to keep cost down they saw no need to run an IC...theres also the fact there is little room for a bigger IC unless you chop your bumper etc....
there is no doubt an IC at any turbo efficiency area will help that kit!!!....

Mang sombody here needs to get this kit on!!!:)

I don't see why that should be a problem...the i6 exhaust manifold is 3->1, as is the V6, and since it's a twin turbo, each manifold has it's own turbo...correct me if i'm wrong but i see no problem with using this kit on a V6.

One must just keep in mind that the V6 has a higher operating temp than the i6...this could be an issue when it comes to cooling and reliability

Hey!,
It would be a long shot to get those manifolds and make them fit a V6,you would need to flip one for each side,so if the turbine flange wasnt centre of the manifold then both turbos would be offset...even without ever seeing one im pretty sure your manifold flanges wouldnt meet up either!...

THEN...we'd end up like Remo with a front mount and nothing else
:p

im very interested pm me some info and let me know if i can get it to work?

Pagz
06-28-2007, 02:46 PM
looking at this pic,you can see the manifolds arnt symetrical in the horizontal or vertical planes,so without taking into account flange difference theres possibly less than 1% chance they will work on the V6 =)

Just do a custom manifold, then you get the turbos where they should be with best clearance.

I can hook you up with a brand new Mosselman turbo if you want one. ;)
Take note: there's a waiting time for the Mosselman turbo to get here. It take's
about 4-6 weeks. I can get you a 10% discount on this.

I don't believed it would work on a V6.

joshm38
06-28-2007, 05:25 PM
i need a custom manifold plus turbo rite? do u have all the piping?

Pagz
06-28-2007, 05:35 PM
Piping will be completely custom on the V6.

Have you thought about engine managment?

c280nz
06-28-2007, 08:51 PM
the two exhaust flanges onto the head on the m104 are the same, so im guessing that those two 3>1 turbo flanges would be quite similar to each other.
but get a custom one made,
like im in the process of
6>1 + stainless = difficult :-)

HEY!!!

LOL no, actually, since I downsized to a smaller turbo, I got a differnt manifold, it was bolted on and tested and its also a top-mount turbo. im just going to completly fix my suspension components get a new bumper then, only then will I start to move forward with this turbo project. safty comes first right ? what good would it be if I have a turbo and horrible squeelin brakes ? ... at least it wouldnt cost me $$20K ++ :p :D

I could swear I once contacted Mosselman to ask if they offered any kits for the I6 C280 and the answer was no. This was in fall 2003 or early 2004 I think.

I would think Mosselman answer you incorrectly. Coz they won't entertain question if you're not one of the distributor.
The posted picture on the topic came from
Mosselman and it's an I6 C280. So why would they say no if they have produce one?

Nevermind, I was confused. I just figured out it was Kleemann that I was in touch with. The dealer is in Colorado, that's the one thing I remembered and I just checked.

what about ECU chip / managment with this Bi-Turbo Kit?

where can i just get the headers or manifold seperatly and part of the intake that separate from the turbos to the intake?
i would like to put a kit together with my own turbo's and what not, just need a head start.

also i think that the air box and piping should all be cold air and in not a bog intercooler a mini one( every bit helps)
