Hi peeps, Posting on behalf of a friend!

He's running a '95 C200 sport with stock suspension and was wondering what would be the widest possible wheel/tyre combination he could run on front and back (no arch/fender mods)? Probably in 18" rims.

I had AMGs in 7.5x17 with 225/45 front and 8.5x17 with 245/40 on my '95 C230K with no problems, but guys on here seem to have varying degrees of rubbing on different sizes.

So, general opinions?

Thanx in advance.

i wouldent go any wider than a 8.5 in the front and a 10" in the rear

thats if you got correct offsets also

with massiv amounts of rolling maybe cutting and removing inner plastic I think you could run 9' in the front... and how much work would it take to run 10' in the back

um yea 9s in the front with a low offset at heaps of rolling or not lowered.
and ye the rest has been discussed, 225 pritty easy up front 235 if you want some work to do, and the back up to sorta 255+ a bit more, it depends how much your mate wats to slam it? if he wants it super low he wont be able to put too wider wheels on it.
mynes real low and runs 235 in the rear, but if i wanted to put wider id need to raise it.
thats my input, but make sure you post up pics when your done :-)

im running a 19x8.5 front and a 19x9.5 rear with 225/35 and 265/30

My offset is 40mm but i put on 5mm spacers for the final offset of 35mm

B4 the spacers it dident rub out back, now with them it rubs occasionally. I need to bust out the dremel and shave some plastic. Looks better with correct offset though.

I am also lowered on H&R springs tire is tucking

Thanx guys  He's seen a set of rims he likes that are 9" wide for the rear at 35mm offset. I reckon he should get away with a 255/40? Think the fronts are 8" so a 235/45?

He wants none or at worst minimal fender work. (lazy b4stard!)

is it a 18 or 19 inch wheel?

if its 18 use a 40 series tire if its 19 use a 35 series tire.

Run 225 for the front and either 255 or 265 in the rear

I've already fit a wider rim up front with my 20" wheels. I am getting another set of new wheels in about a week, and I plan to go even wider. I am going to run an SL wheel set up front and rear, I've already test fitted everything and it seems to be going in my favor. I soon will have the widest front and rears on any W202, non-widebodied. I'll post pics when my cars done :D
