Hello Everyone:

I have a 1999 c280 sport. The other day I was spining my tires and the BAS/ASR came on. I believe that has to do with the traction control. Now Everytime I start the car it goes on. Is there a sensor that need to be replace. Please advice.

thank you

I got a christmas tree on when I drove my car while it was on a lift to find a noise. It took a few days but mine went away. I think the ECU's need time to check everything to make sure they are ok.

It happen to me too 5 months ago.
You will need to scan your car to check what it is...
me it was only the brake pedal switch was not working...
cost me 30$ CAN to fix...20 min of work lol

I had the same problem when my car was put on the emissions dyno.

The lights went off after a few kilometers. A few days sounds a little strange.

Burn-outs in the benz...awesome.

steering angle sensor sometimes triggers this light. try turning the steering wheel several times lock-to-lock and see if it helps, if not, disconnect the battery and it should be reset.

so last night i'm driving home and i notice that my BAS light and ABS both come on. i notice that jnenad16 said the steering angle sensor. i do remember doing a curb check on my front pass. wheel earlier that night.

today in the morning i turn on the car and no lights! step on the brake and, shit the freakn' lights come on. i havent tried disonnecting the batt. yet, but how do i know that is the pedal switch?

i checked all fuses ( just in case) and turned the wheel L to L, several times, but with no luck?
i will try the batt. thing next, wish me luck.

well if u reseted the battery and it still shows, and u tried the steering wheel lock to lock and it still shows, and ur rear lights are fine, i can only say check the brake fluids maybe that will help
