guys,
i plan to have a set of anti roll bars installed after new year. what brand should i go for? and where would you recommand to get this from? how about the fit?
I plan to have my mechanic do it as i bring the car in to have some gaskets replaced. cause they are going to drop the bars down to get to it anyway.
any reply is appreciated. thanks.

Personally, I would talk to Speedybenz as he has had sways made for his C43. I forget the specifics, but they are thicker in diameter than the OEM.

Which model do you have? I cannot seem to remember at this moment. :(

One other alternative would be to pick up the C43/CLK55/C36 sways, unless you have a Sport model as I believe they are the same as the AMG's.

H&R and Eibach make sway bars for the W202, and they're both about the same price and about the same thickness. I'm planning on getting a set eventually but have no idea which.

tirerack sells H&R sway bars.

There's a handful of sites that sell eibach listed on eibach's website: here (http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe/001749.2.6066597796500032112)

If I recall correctly, there is a Thread that states that the roll bars of the Sport models and the AMG's are the same.

I'll try and find it for you Here is one of them. (http://www.club202.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=656&highlight=sway+bar)

Well, you could go custom or find out the diameters of the H&R or Eibach sets. :)

H&R is 26mm front, 18mm rear.
Eibach is 28mm front, 18mm rear.

I've done my homework as I'm planning to do this asap.

I'd lean more towards the Eibach personally b/c the red color sticks out more than H&R's black, lol. I doubt 2mm would make too much of a difference.

Also, I looked into a few sites that sell the parts to make your own custom sway bars, but I decided it was too much work, and wasn't much if any cheaper.

2mm will make quite a bit of difference. When given torsional flex (twisting), which is what swaybars do, stiffness increases exponentially to the 4th power of the diameter. To go from a 26 to a 28 mm bar, the stiffness of the sway bar will increase by about 35%.

Basically what i'm saying... like I said above, 2mm will make a difference. I won't go into it any more than that.

Yeah, I knew I should have thought that through a little more, especially considering I'm a Mechanical Engineering major and should know better.

I have the Eiback swaybar kit on my 202 and it's great. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade. The red color is great too... for about two seconds until you can't see under your car anymore :P

Go for Eibach because it's thicker, not because of the color.
